Visitor Information
Tongue, Melness and Skerray is an area with spectacular views, beautiful sandy beaches and dramatic landscapes. The Kyle of Tongue itself is a designated National Scenic Area. There are many opportunities for coastal and hill walks and for spotting wildlife.
The area is a perfect base for stopping off on the NC500 to explore this part of the North Coast and Sutherland, offering a range of accommodation from luxury hotels to B&B and self-catering, plus camping and caravan parks. We are ideally situated to explore the North west Highland Geopark and The Flow Country, both of which are UNESCO designated.
We welcome responsible visitors who keep to the Scottish Outdoor Access code and are committed to the principles of the NC500 Visitor Pledge. Please drive responsibly, protect our landscape and support our communities.
