Community Resilience

A resilience plan provides ways for services to keep operating during an emergency, so that our community can still function, and everyone is safe and supported.

The Community Resilience Plan for Tongue, Melness and Skerray was created in February 2025 with funding from the National Centre for Resilience.

Please note, this version does not contain contact details of all the volunteers who have agreed to provide assistance. These contact details are kept by the members of the Resilience Group.

You can prepare for an adverse incident by downloading and completing a Home Emergency Plan.

If you would like to be contacted and offered support during an adverse incident when the Resilience Plan is operating, and if you have not already done so, please download and complete a consent form and return this to the Kyle Centre in Tongue.

The Resilience Plan can be activated by contacting a member of the Emergency Resilience Group.

The Community Council would like to thank all the volunteers and organisations who contributed to the creation of the Resilience Plan and who continue to update the plan and help to keep our communities safe whenever the Resilience Plan is activated.
